It all started when two DJs from the Northeast met up and The Chainsmokers officially began. Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart were both successful in the nightclub world and making a name for themselves when Taggart heard about Pall looking for a partner. He made the trek from Maine to NYC by bus to meet him. The two men instantly connected and began working on music together. Since they officially became a band only four years ago they have already seen remarkable success.

The Chainsmokers top hits to date include “Don’t Let Me Down“, “Roses”, and “Waterbed”. The duo just released their newest song “Closer” which is sure to be a success like their previous singles releases. Pall prides himself on either writing their own lyrics or being heavily involved in the writing process. They don’t just want to make some music and let someone else fill in the words. Each song they write has personal meaning and substance rather than a song pumped out by a random songwriter. The difference is clear in their unique sound and message.
