The conference was organized by the major think tanks of the country, namely International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance and Center of Policy and Legal Reforms. Sujit Choudhry said that Ukraine is a highly progressive country with a lot of potential, but there are many changes that its constitution needs desperately to evolve and transform positively. Sujit Choudhry also believes that one of the primary reasons why the country has been facing political conflicts is because of the age old semi-presidential system. Sujit said that such a system is bound to create a conflict of interest among the political leadership as there is an imbalance of power between the two most influential people in the country. It would hinder in taking steps for the benefit of the country and eventually lead to the dismantling of the government.  Related article on constitutionaltransitions.org.
